Democracy is dead

Goodbye equality.

Goodbye accountability.

Goodbye workers rights.

Goodbye Democrats party.

Goodbye clean air and water

Hello worst case scenario of climate change with maximum sea level rise.

Goodbye, the last faith I had in humanity.

Goodbye trust in people.

Goodbye the constitution of the US.

Goodbye free speech.

Goodbye autonomy.

Goodbye term limits.

Goodbye the concept of a president.

Goodbye free voting.

Goodbye to being different.

Goodbye ethics.

Goodbye pretty much all government agencies.

I’m sure there’s so much more I’ve missed in this brand-new combination of the handmaid’s tale and 1984.

America is now like Germany in the 1930s.

Fuck you America.

  1. yeah, it’s looking bad for the good guys. My fantasy is that we join together and fight back somehow, but maybe I’m an optimistic fool. In any case, I totally get what you’re saying. 💜

    1. I knew things were bad, but not like this. Not like this. Being a history buff doesn’t help since it’s confirming nightmares. I’d like to leave for another country, but where? I don’t meet the requirements in any case since that typically requires very specific careers and health/wealth. It’s like we are in Idiocracy/They Live. 😮‍💨

  2. Agreed. I still think we can create whatever future we want. It is harder, but I still want to believe it’s possible.

    1. If it is possible, its going to be a long time until we get there. Considering that the US is at the beginning of the N’s coming to power in Germany, and it took until 1944 to depose them, and decades of rebuilding with help with a divided country between the winners of WW2… Yeah. Oof.
